Thursday, November 30th marked an incredible day for the Tigers. Although, everyday is a great day to be a Tiger, this was one for the record books.

The girls soccer team defeated the Palm Bay Pirates 2-0. Jenna Werle and Lena Martinez each scored one goal to lead the girls to their first victory of the season.  The girls soccer team now has a record of 1-8. Last season the girls did not win a single game and only scored three goals. About half way through this season the girls have won a game and scored double the amount of goals from last season. This was their first win in thirteen years. So far, they are showing progression and continue to improve throughout the season.

Not only did the girls soccer team get a big victory, but so did the boys basketball team. The Varsity boys defeated the Edgewood Indians 69-48 in their home opener. The boys now have a record of 1-1. The Junior Varsity basketball team also defeated Edgewood 80-47, they are currently 2-0. The starters for the team were sophomore Davarion Marvine, senior Chad Floyd, junior Xavier Scott, senior Caleb Washington, and senior Chris Knowles. Every player on the team stepped up to help the Tigers earn their first win of the season.  Davarion led the team with thirteen points in the first half and Chad followed with ten.  Davarion finished with twenty three points and was the team’s leading scorer. This performance was deserving of being named our Tiger Times Productions Player of The Game.

Sam Moran was the leading scorer off the bench with nine points and Antwan Freeman followed with seven.

The girls soccer team and the boys basketball team both ended November off right. We can’t wait to see what is in store for the rest of the year for Tiger sports!
