The Cocoa Tigers had three football players sign National Letters Of Intent two years ago. Last year they had 11, and this year so far they have 13. That means 13 out of the 16 seniors have signed. The other three have offers and still are weighing out their options. Each player has dedicated most of their time working hard to be the player they are today. Today, they were rewarded for their hard work.

Javian Hawkins, who played for the Tigers for two seasons and rushed for more than 3,000 yards, signed with the University of Louisville! The electric running back will be making a big impact all the way in Kentucky.

Four-year varsity starting linebacker, Zach Beagle, signed with the Princeton Tigers. Beagle will continue to make a big impact as a Tiger, but now it will be in college! Beagle will have to adjust to the cold weather in New Jersey.

Clay James, who has been called “the best long snapper Cocoa High has ever had” by Coach Wilkinson, signed with the University of Miami! Clay has been a big part of the Tigers special teams unit for three years.

Josh Padrick, a four-year starting center, signed with the Florida Tech Panthers. Josh won’t be playing too far away, so make sure you go watch him play!

Howard Stewart and John Smith have been teammates together for four years, and now they will be teammates for another four years. They have signed with the Tusculum Pioneers. The defensive duo will be traveling to Tennessee.

Tri-marea Charles who was a stellar athlete for one season with the Tigers, signed with Fordham University in New York City.

Four Tigers signed with Warner University: quarterback Bradley Cantrell, defensive tackle Antonio Lennear and linebacker Andreal Curry. Each played for the Tigers for one season. Offensive guard Zach Brasher started for the Tigers for three seasons and was a part of the team for his entire high school career.

Connor Perrine, the athletic wide receiver who played for the Tigers for one season, will be traveling to Missouri to attend Culver-Stockton.

LaGregory King, one-year starting linebacker, will attend Mesabi Range College in Minnesota.

National Signing Day was historical for our Tigers. Each athlete deserves to play at the next level and the coaches helped them get where they wanted to be. We wish each Tiger the best of luck in their future endeavors.
