Every year, the senior class raises money in order to have their prom, grad bash, and other senior events. Sometimes some classes raise more money then what they need.

With the extra money they have, they all come together for a little project and donate something to the Cocoa High campus or teachers.

Every year, I have heard of many unique ideas the seniors come up with. I have seen many black benches around along with the class that donated them indented on to it. Cocoa Highs previous principal, Dr. Sullivan, always requested the benches since many people love them and use them.

There were Nike Dri-Fit shirts donated to all the teachers of Cocoa High School by the class of 2017. Every senior class has a class sponsor which is in charge of the money for that class and makes sure the whole project happens.

Elkay water fountains were one of the donations one year and Mrs.Phillips was the class sponsor with the amazing idea. This is a water fountain that comes along with a water bottle dispenser on top of the fountain which is located by the high school bathrooms in front of building 17.

This project is a cool thing we have at Cocoa High and hopefully this tradition goes on throughout the history of this school. These projects are convenient and used by the Cocoa High Students every day.

The benches are greatly used all the time and the water bottle dispenser is a smart way to teach students to reuse their plastic bottles. Class of 2019 is coming up next with their project and ideas.

Mrs. Smith being the class sponsor, many students can’t wait to see what new and special projects are around campus and what the future Cocoa High classes come up with.
